Peter Lalich, the starting quarterback for the Virginia Cavaliers, was kicked off the team for admitting to drinking while on probation for underage drinking. 

In court he stated that he “thought he had not been barred from drinking, but only from getting arrested.”

Lalich, age 20, must have forgotten that the legal drinking age in Virginia is 21.

Sources tell us that if he claimed he needed the liquid courage before facing the USC Trojan defense, he would have stood a much better chance in court.
